We have proceeded in a way that our product development site would also
be our initial opening site. The site is is in a remote location so as
to get the best dark skies in our region, but still not so far away as to
require extensive air travel for setup and testing.
But now we are looking to
move quickly to other locations around the globe. We have regions in mind
that could see us set up in Arizona for their clear skies and Australia
or New Zealand for the southern skies.
We will also be listening to what
our membership is requesting. Even now, in advance of opening, we welcome
suggestions for future locations that may be of interest. Please feel
free to email us on this topic. The basic criteria are clear dark skies,
power, network bandwidth and accessibility.
