Questions people often ask are:
You can take control of one of our fully equipped observatories and
explore the night sky!
What you explore is up to you, but here are some possibilities:
Deep Space ObjectsTry imaging some of the "deep space objects" (galaxies, nebulae and star clusters) in the Messier catalog. There are 110 objects in the catalog, each one with its own beauty. See a chart of all 110 objects. Color ImagingTry your hand at composing color images: use the telescope's filter wheel to take red, green and blue images, then compose them into a single color image. The composing can be done either with your own favorite software or by using the Color Image Composer that is built into MyTelescope.com's Live Control software. Comets and AsteroidsYou can image comets and asteroids and create time lapsed videos of them (you could even discover new ones!). The MoonGrab a block of cheese because there's an entire moon to explore. Locate the Apollo landing sites; download individual images of pieces of the moon and create a mosaic of the whole moon using you favorite image software. ...And MoreAnd there are many more projects you can do with these telescopes. If you have your own agenda, like examining binary stars or searching for comets, then use our telescopes and you are set to go. To get an idea of what it's like to use our system and what kind of images are possible, have a look at some screen shots and sample images or view the What Can I Do video. Get Started!
